The TC20 is an omnidirectional microphone designed to record louder sources such as drums, percussion, amplified instruments, and loud sound effects.
With a sound pressure level of 150 dB, the TC20 has a wide margin, so there's no need to worry about distortion even with the loudest instruments. There is no proximity effect, allowing you to get as close as you want to the sound source.
With a flat frequency response from 9 Hz to 20 kHz, the result is a more accurate representation of the original sound. Its transient response is ultra-fast, handling sharp attacks with ease while still capturing all the subtle nuances and softer dynamics of your performance. The TC20 is time-coherent, accurately capturing both high and low-frequency sounds without phase errors that would smear transients and create other time-related distortions.
Its nearly perfect omnidirectional polar pattern is uniform across all specified frequencies, allowing the microphone to capture rich, consistent details from any position around the capsule.
