RME Babyface Pro - FS

The Babyface Pro once again demonstrates RME's absolute commitment to high-quality assembly, not only in audio circuits and driver development but also in its mechanism. Crafted with utmost precision from a block of aluminum, this high-end portable interface incorporates both analog and digital circuits. Its innovative power-saving technology delivers high fidelity without compromising volume levels or generating noise or distortion.

Two 1/4" TRS and 3.5mm mini-jack headphone outputs in parallel feature separate control stages to perfectly match both low and high-impedance headphones, ensuring pristine sound results regardless of the type of headphones used.

Two digitally controlled preamps provide +48V phantom power, a 76dB adjustable gain range in 1dB steps, and relay-controlled attenuation PAD, resulting in exceptional EIN (Equivalent Input Noise) performance. It also includes overload protection and enough gain for even the lowest-level microphones.

The efficient design of the Babyface Pro rarely requires an external power supply: it operates perfectly on USB 3 bus power and most USB 2 ports without any degradation in technical specifications. This makes it ideal for mobile recording, even with a pair of your favorite condenser microphones.

Optical TOSLINK I/O; used as an ADAT port with SMUX or B support for sessions up to 192 kHz. In combination with an external ADAT converter, the Babyface Pro is fully compatible with 12 analog inputs and 12 outputs, making it perfect for live and studio multi-track applications. You can connect any instrument, line, or high-impedance source to inputs 3 and 4. It also includes MIDI I/O via a provided connection cable, completing the package.
