Roswell Mini k47 KD

The Mini K47 "KD" Kick Drum Edition features a black grille and is optimized for close-mic applications with high SPL sources like kick drums and floor toms. This version has 15dB less sensitivity and boasts a new circuit design, handcrafted at Roswell's California workshop.

The Mini K47 captures the tone of a vintage microphone with modern performance specifications. The "K47" suffix refers to the capsule design, inspired by one of the most iconic microphones in history. It provides a full, balanced tone without harshness or exaggerated high frequencies, ensuring less sibilance and less mouth noise on vocal tracks. It adds weight and body to high strings and electric guitars while reducing pick noise on acoustic guitar tracks.

For this microphone, we've chosen a very clean and transparent circuit design that lets the capsule's sound pass through unaltered. Its noise performance and distortion levels rival microphones that cost significantly more. The circuit incorporates the best techniques we've learned from modifying and improving other companies' products.

To ensure all Mini K47 microphones deliver superior performance right out of the box, each is subjected to a 24-hour "burn-in" process using our patented conditioning device, followed by thorough testing of polarity, noise, frequency response, and sensitivity. We conduct an acoustic sweep test and listen to each mic before it leaves our facility.

The Mini K47 is finished with a durable powder-coated paint that undergoes heat treatment. Each microphone is shipped with our exclusive Cutaway shockmount, a Roswell-branded microfleece mic sock, and an aluminum flight case.
