Not only does it add a second channel for convenient stereo operation, but it also serves as a line-level saturator, capable of transforming any low signal into something magnificent. The Launcher Deluxe features two individually selectable modes, each with its own separate signal path. The original Launcher mode, which requires phantom power, is designed for dynamic and ribbon microphones, boosting the signal by 26 dB while adding saturation and vintage color. The passive saturation mode (which allows phantom power to pass through) is designed to handle condenser microphones and line-level signals. It bypasses the gain stage but still imbues the signals with the inimitable, authorized color and atmosphere of the Launcher.

The Russian word “soyuz” means alliance, and it represents the partnership that is the driving force behind Soyuz microphones. In 2013, American vocalist David Arthur Brown and Russian entrepreneur Pavel Bazdyrev teamed up to launch a company to build world-class microphones in Russia, a country where less than five percent of small businesses last more than two years.
